Joni Marra, Esq.

Portrait photo

After a successful career in the for-profit segment, including 10 years as an industrial sales representative and 13 years as an attorney who rose through the organization to lead a major business unit of Westlaw (now Thomson Reuters), Joni chose to exit the hectic race to the top of the corporate ladder, enter the nonprofit world, do good and give back. Joni chose University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Ohio and served as its Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations. After leading her team to raise over 28.5 million dollars in just over 3 years (more dollars than had been raised from corporations and foundations in the history of UH’s fundraising efforts), she retired from corporate life in 2008.

In Luke 12:48, Jesus instructs his disciples that “to whom much is given, much shall be required.” With this mandate, Joni continues her life’s work as a volunteer for a number of causes. And, Joni received certification in Clinical Hypnotherapy from her training at the Cleveland Clinic and certification in Breath Therapy, from her training at Integrative Concepts, based in Arizona. She started her own company, Inward Bound, to give back to a universe that has blessed her entire life. She learned how to make a significant difference in the life of another person by delivering the benefit of these therapies to others.

Joni received a BS in Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University and a JD from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She and her husband of 33 years, along with their three dogs, live in Avon Lake, Ohio.
