Why Love Is the Missing Intelligence in the AI Age

Dear Friends:

In early November 2025 the Institute collaborated with the great Australian entity Positive Prime to convene a spectacular conference in Boston at the Copley Plaza Hotel, on the heels of the internationally acclaimed annual Benson-Henry Mind-Body Center conference, where I had delivered a plenary address to a full house. The following day the Positive Prime event convened focused for several days on the many ways in which positive psychology and healing connect with Pure Unlimited Love. Some of the luminaries there were Dr. Greg Fricchione, Dr. Harold Koenig, Dr. Esther Sternberg, Robert Emmons, and via video, Marty Seligman, among various other essential contributors to the birth of the field of Positive Psychology.

This video, The Science of Compassion: Why Love Is the Missing Intelligence in the AI Age, is one segment from this huge event with many more to come. I invite you to view it and spread the word as widely as possible.

If you have not done so, please order a copy of my Pure Unlimited Love: Science and the Seven Path to Inner Peace today. This would help our cause immensely.

My research on Love over the past 40 years began at the University of Chicago in the Divinity School coupled with Psychology. Briefly, what is love? When the security and well-being of another is as meaningful to you as your own, and sometimes more so, you love that person. Much of my writing has focused on the practical expressions of love, or what I call "the Wheel of Love," with love at the hub. It is these spokes of the Wheel that are most useful in everyday life and leadership. These include Wheel graphic: LOVE in center, surrounded by radiating spokes for Helping, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Respect, Celebration, Listening, Loyalty, Creativity, Carefrontation, Compassion carefrontation (a neologism bequeathed to me from friend and psychiatrist M. Scott Peck MD), compassion (affective empathy in the context of suffering replete with a readiness to act to remove the source of suffering, making compassion distinct from empathy, which need not pertain to said removal), and so forth. The Wheel of Love belongs on your shelf.

So then what is Pure Unlimited Love? This is Love in a more metaphysical or spiritual aspect. As the book describes it, Pure Unlimited Love is the first thing you see when you close your eyes for the last time, hopefully.

Please buy this book. It is my best yet.

Thanks.
